Quick question...are "registered" scooters allowed in the paddock at ACC? I read the ACC Facts from last years' events and it says motorized vehicles must be plated. In Michigan, 50cc scooters are issued a registration "sticker" instead of a plate, but still carry a registration card to be street legal. Does this count as "plated" for ACC purpose, if I have the sticker mounted and carry the reg card? Thanks!
they generally mean a plate.. EG street legal.. if your reg sticker means you are street legal than you "SHOULD" be fine I cant say for sure as my lil 50 has a plate.
Ok cool thanks for the reply. I think because street legal, I'm good. BUT wasn't sure if it was an insurance thing....key difference in Michigan, plated bikes carry insurance and stickered legal scooters don't require it...
it maybe an insurance thing... as they dont not allow pedal bikes, skates, skateboards or rollerblades... Certainly past my knowledge so i'll defer to @STTJulie as she is way more in tune with the details
Jason, @SkierJohnny , I don't have much to add actually -- sorry! It's not an STT insurance thing since the we are bound first and foremost by the track rules; we can't override them. Hopefully Nick or Owen can chime in ( @Black Mamba ; @STT STAFF ).
Hi @SkierJohnny, Your mounted registration sticker does count as "plated". If your scooter is registered with the Department of Motor Vehicles, you are good to ride it inside the paddock at ACC. Just be sure to bring the registration card with you to serve as proof of registration in case an official asks to see it. Let me know if you have any other questions and I'll see ya at the track!!
