I just recently purchased two pitbull TRS systems. I want to install them on my open 5x8 mesh bottom trailler. I have 3 plates I want to install. One in the middle for one bike setup, and two on the outsides for two bike setup. The issue it seems I will run into, the plate wholes don't line up the the holes in the mesh trailer floor. I wanted to use a 3/4" sheet of plywood to mount the plates to. But what steps can I take to get the holes to line up without cutting up the trailer floor? Any help from those with mesh bottom trailers would be great

piece of wood on top, piece underneath, drill holes in wood for mount bolts, line up with the trailer once holes are drilled and u can see thru them so they align over holes in trailer, that way u kinda make a trailer sandwich with the wood as the bread .. an inch extra long and wide than the pitbull plate and ud be good, ull have a little hump to get over when pullin ur bike up but thats it

and dont use plywood, ull torque right thru it when tightening bolts and the rain will destroy it, use a piece of treated wood if u can find something about half an inch thick cause u gotta remember wood on top, trailer thickness, and wood on bottom .. so hopefully u got the long bolts

    Thanks Samm.

And that's what I was planning on using the treated wood.

also get some bigger washers to use on the bottom of trailer against the wood, that way the pressure from u torquing the bolt down is spread put over a larger area, ur less likely to indent the wood and torque the bolt up into it ... my plate is mounted in my truck bed but too have thought about how id go about mounting one to a mesh trailer and thats it right there
