Wait a minute.....I want to join the slow straight group in the "A" group. I'll be bringing my RS250 with all of its 58 hp. I'll also be bringing my old 1996 GSXR 750 if they both fit on the trailer.

I made the mistake of using Kreem to line the rusting tank early this spring. It seemed to work well until the memorial day weekend @ BeaverRun, when Kate kept out motoring me on her ZX-6, pretty much everywhere. My first thought was that since she weighs half of what I do, that she's just got a better power/weight ratio and what I really needed was a liter bike... a couple weeks later at Summit Main, I went out for exactly one session and I found that the bike wouldn't get out of it's own way. Back in the pits, someone said "your bike sounds like it's going to grenade." I spent the better part of the day tearing into the bike, ultimately finding that the fuel filter was 80% clogged with chunks of the Kreem  I put it back together, only to rip an O-ring on the fuel pump, so that day was a wash & I had Chronic Motorsports take it back to Long Island with them. They had it for a month, during which time they synched the throttle bodies, and tuned the bike.
I got the bike back two weeks ago @ Summit JC and one lap around the course was all it took to realize that something was wrong with my bike. I rather unhappily wheeled it over to Chronic's trailer to see if they could figure out why my bike wasn't running. pulled the plugs & found that #2 & 3 cylinders were lean & more exploration found that the stepper motor that controls the secondary throttlebody butterflies had given up the ghost. between the two clogged injectors and the bad stepper motor, we decided that the best route was to replace the whole damn Throttlebody rail, as the stepper motor alone costs around $275. For $102 + shipping, I picked up a set of TB's on ebay; hopefully that will do the trick and break the curse of Summit Point.
