    WTB power cup michelin

I need a rear power cup 180 (B compound or the new evo) for ACC this weekend. Let me know if you can help me out.

I've got a brand new one mounted on my Triumph wheel... If you can find a staffer or someone else to bring it over from Detroit.

You know they will be available trackside right?

Get with Racer Cafe or Dave Grey. They'll hook you up.

The cups have been discontinued and replaced by the EVO, your probably not going to find a cup unless someone has a spare. Go with the new EVO. This part is really important, you want the pressure 25 HOT OFF THE TRACK (not off the warmers, if they tell you anything different, ignore it). There have been some issues with people not getting the correct pressure numbers

Well No compund choices is a Huge difference...From the Old cup...

The MICHELIN Power Slick Evo/Cup Evo is intended for the track and is ideal for weekend racing. Easy to handle, it features MICHELIN Adaptive Casing Technology (ACT) and a new highly versatile rubber compound that avoids having to make difficult tire choices depending on weather and circuit conditions

I don't know anyone with a lot of experience on the EVO yet, the most information I've found is "They're awesome, you'll love them!"

no one is going to have a lot of experience on them, they are brand new, came out 2 weeks ago. I've been through of couple of the EVO's now, if you got specific questions I can try to answer them.

Ran an EVO at Barber. Dropped 2.5 seconds off my best time. Ran consistently lower times all weekend. I ran an old cup first half of Saturday, then switched to the EVO.
I ran 22 cold psi. I give them a big thumbs up. Great grip, no slip, great breaking response , good ware.

Any comments on lifespan? I was eating a rear after every 3 track days with the old Cup B.

life span is similar. I was getting about 120 laps out of my rear Cups before they would start sliding around. I am right around that same number with the EVO's. Obviously this is dependent upon pace, I'd say if you are getting 3 days out of a rear, your doing quite well. The front is a whole different animal.

With the proper suspension and some flipping of the rear, I've extended my life to about 4TD's rear for B slicks (A pace). Love the hell out of the tire!

Thanks, he's not picking up but I send him an email. If that doesn't work, I might buy a tire form a friend.

Only have 1.5 days on them so far at Barber., running low 40-41s. Ware looked ok. I'm on an 08 zx10.
I expect ware will depend on bike and track.
