I know the southern division runs rain or shine. I assume it is the same in the north east.

The only way we shut down is if it is lightning basically. Heck Roebling this year we rode through light snow, sleet, rain

Riding in the rain is fun- it's a great way to learn "smooth."

I ran PR5s at Roebling earlier this year

That was a BAD idea, but it was all I had at teh time

Great way to learn what a bike sliding around feels like. Luckily I got away with one, and didnt have to remember what a bike sliding down the track on its side feels like again :(

At the VERY least, you would want a "street" tire on a wet track, and still take it easy if there is any standing water or a heavy downpour. With Rains you can go pretty hard, but that is a pretty advanced skillset really

Sorry to bring this up. So you are saying that a track whch is slightly wet (neither wet nor dry) has better traction vs. a track with actual water on it? I always thought it was the other way around..

Unfortunately we were fogged out until 3 pm that day in May.

per the tires I use in the rain, Michelin rains. They ARE worth it.
