I wanted to get some advice on rearsets for my 02 R6. I was at Barber the other week for my second track day, and I felt like my foot pegs would feel better if they were a little higher. I'm 5'5". After doing some research, looks like Woodcraft makes some for my bike that raise the pegs up 5/8" and back 5/8". This does not sounds like much to me. I also found some generic adjustable aluminum ones on Ebay that looked good. Thoughts?
I'm sure they're fine if you put them together with threadlocker on everything. If you toss the bike and need replacement parts, you may have trouble finding something. You could consider buying several sets of the Chinese ones.
NEX rearsets are built identical to vortex for $165 a set, i bought two sets .. they crash well at 110mph too, i unfortunately tested them .. find them on Ebay .. theyre made in and ship from california
Looks decent, but they're made in Taiwan, if that matters. Likely similar quality as the ebay ones, I imagine.

Were they ready to go out of the box minus some loctite? I for sure want to raise the pegs up, but I'm not sure if there will be any benefit of bringing them back since i'm short.
negative .. assembly required .. but a blind ape with its hands bound could assemble these ... they do come with easy to read instructions tho
Personally I use woodcrafts, but I think any of the big brands are all just as good as the other. My advice would be stay way from the Chinese or off brand sets. Some of the cheap sets use roller bearing instead of bushings on the shift and brake lever, which allows for a lot more slop...this leads to missed shifts and false neutrals, which are dangerous. Others on here may disagree, but I have ridden 2 bike with cheap rear sets and IMO they feel like crap and are just unsafe. I would stick with a well known, established brand.
