That may be good for me. You run in the Intermediate at Mid-Ohio don't you? It would be my first time there so I would want to do Novice. I've been to the races there 11 times but only as a spectator.
Yep, I'll be there in Intermediate. I REALLY, REALLY want to run it dry though. I was so looking forward to flying there on the 4th of July and instead I flew off my bike in the rain instead. I'm not scurred though. S#$t happens. You'll love it there. It's my favorite track. If you are there let me know ahead of time. I'll hang out with you. Gotta go again though. Take it easy.
Chris, Congrats on a couple things... First, on dropping that much time so quickly on that beast of a bike you are on!! And second, (equally as important) on deciding on a 636 rather than a 10R!!! You will get much, MUCH more out of it. And if you are worried about being 6-04" on a 600... look for an ogre in bright orange leathers w/ FRENCHIE on the back and ask him what he rides! That "baggage" on the back of Bakers bike is my G/F last saturday at the LED day. You will be amazed how fast the time goes away by taking Joe's advice of one turn at a time. That is about the best way to work on Grattan!
Glad to hear that you are going to try the advice I gave you. It is basically how I learned new tracks and instead of things racing through your head ( ok .. what turn is coming up again ? ) you concentrate on working on 1 or 2 corners at a time and then stringing them together ( which is another process ) I will be at Gingerman ( Trackfest ) as well and most likely will have my bike with me. Hey Joe....Yeah that's the Tim on the blue R1. He's headed in for surgery tomorrow at UM. Time for a couple plates and screws. I took his bike back to him this evening. Time to contemplate some race bodywork. 8)
