Anyone been to Pocono East lately and know the bathroom situation? Are the cinderblock lavatories by pit-in open? :?: Trying to decide whether to bring a pit bike.
CW, you'd have better chance getting an answer screaming into the wind, or posting your written query on tree in the middle of a forest then waiting for someone to check this board. Perhaps a message in a bottle will do the trick... I was at Pocono for the FUSA event a few weeks ago, and the bathrooms were not only open, but fully staffed with bikini-clad attendants, making sure the soap dispensers were full, the paper towels plentiful, the toilet seats not left up, and the floors clean enough to eat a meal off of. OK, none of this is true. You can borrow my pit bicycle if you want tho, we can even lower the seat for ya. PCH 1994 12-speed Boteccia Pit Bike, with fancy Swiss spring-loaded cargo rack.
FWIW, Pocono has the filthiest bathrooms of any track I've ridden. it makes Grattan look merely disheveled. Gawd help anyone who had to drop a deuce. :x
Chris LOL  the batroom stand up was good now you know why i bring my own bathroom with me. By the way you are looking pertty racie on your up graded MZ that session I went out with you I could not catch you, way to go chis Are you going on the 23rd? Renard 01 GSXR 600
Thanks for the props, Renard, but you clearly weren't applying yourself to the task. In other words, Bullcrap! Renard was my very first track mentor, back at a REDUC school in 2002. Here's a pic: http://tinyurl.com/erkwa His instruction, contagious spirit, and abuse of the English language on the REDUC board made me the rider I am today. I'm kind of a slow learner, and increasingly fatter in the middle, so its taken me all this time to actually do what he told me to do. I'm still working on it. Don't know yet about the second September Poco date, but am 99% sure I'll be at Beaver. Hope to make Summit and maybe even VIR before season's end. Here's some pics from Sunday: Ooops. Link wasn't working. Here goes again: http://tinyurl.com/kwyvj
that was not a bad bathroom (as far as bad bathrooms go). i've been to some places where the toilet was a hole in the dirt (not joking). of course, it wasn't a racetrack, and above all, it wasn't here in the usa. now bridgehampton- that had a bad bathroom -but was a great track! 8)
Guess you have never been to Nelson Ledges..!!!! I'd rather eat a maggot than drop a load in one of those "bathrooms"......
