I will be there on Sunday in the Novice group. This will only be my 2nd track day. First one was in the Rain at Gingerman. How does this track compare to Gingerman? Also, is camping available here, or should I look for a hotel? Thanks, Jon (noob)
No grooves like at Gingerman but the bumps can be a little nerve racking the first few times around. Yes there is camping. $25 I believe. Call the Autobahn for gate times. DO NOT stay in a local hotel if you are not familiar with the area. Security is very good at ACC.
Security is excellent at local hotels... Shoot, the one I stayed at had the cops coming there all the time!
Jon IMO the 2 dont compare. Autobahn is a much nicer track and facility. Very clean with plenty of bathrooms and showers. South track has a couple bumpy spots but nothing that is going to make u lose control. You may not even feel them as it depends what line u are following. Gingerman is also very clean but the track is very course as it tears up tires and those grooves bug the u know what out of me. Good luck and have a ball as this track is a ton of fun!!!!
Thanks for all of the feedback guys. I am trying to get them to switch me to Saturday. They are working on it, but haven't heard back yet. I originally wanted Saturday, but for some reason, I thought it was full. Most of my group will be doing Saturday, so I hope they can switch me. I'm done rambling not, just can't wait.
