Who is all going to be in the Novice class for May 29th? Looking forward to meeting new riders.. Also anyone want to help me with a check list on what to bring for my first track day? Just wanting to make sure I bring everything I will need.

Look for an active thread on what to bring for trackday; I just saw folks posting to it in the last few days. You'll be able to meet new riders at the class sessions required for Novice. Just get there early. Oh - and if you are not aware of these classes do get clued into the schedule. Last year, for my first trackday, I knew there would be classes but somehow I managed to miss the calls for the first class and I did not understand how it was all supposed to work. I made the classes, but I was always rushed. I definitely appreciate the classroom time but, it makes being Novice a bit of a drag in that, in the mornings, you really have no time to catch your breath: 20 min track, 10 min whatever, 20 min classroom, 10 min whatever, repeat. Those 10 minutes give little to no time to change, go to restroom, etc. For a cycle or two it can be ok but by the time the third and fourth cycles come around it gets to be a drag. But, to do it in any way that would make this easier would mean even less than 20 minutes per hour riding - and that's a big 'neg-ah-tive' :) So, just ensure that you know the schedule and get tuned into the radio station first thing so you hear the announcements.

I'm Neil BTW. Just look for aging fat guy who looks like a sausage stuck inside his white/red a* leather suit.

As for checklist - I am still building my own. But I am there all three days and camping out, so my list will likely be different than yours. When I get mine done I would be happy to PM it to you if interested.

From last year - big things: don't forget key to bike (hopefully you are not riding bike to event - of so, look for threads on why that's a *really* bad idea), gas, chair, shade if possible, water, water, water.

Any type of check list would be a help! I just want to make sure I don't forget anything that I may not have thought was important. I will be hauling my bike to the track since I have read from the past that it's really not a good idea.

Post a new thread on the forum to see if anyone is selling a novice slot. Sometimes riders end up not being able to make and sell theirs.

I'll be riding novice with some other folks. Feel free to stop by or say "hi" in class. (My bike says Ninjeff on it, hard to miss. lol)
