I wonder if it's been brought up for the track day organization to have a gt race after lunch at track days? pros vs cons?

I am betting one con would be the significantly higher insurance costs if the track day org was hosting a competitive race.

Sadly due to insurance costs, mainly, we can not run a sprint race

MCRA does that type of TDs. Sprint races at lunch and at the end of the day.
Then again, they charge $65 per race to offset the cost.

I really do think more TD orgs incorporating racing would be great. One of my beefs with Wera is not enough track time. I drive 8 hours to a new track and only get a little practice time and a couple sprints and drive home. MotoSeries has had pretty good results by hosting a TD on Saturday then races on Sunday. I think this would get alot more people interested in racing.

    Just my 2cents.
