1st track day at CMP in a couple weeks!! What should I expect?? I've seen the posts on the weather and I only live about 90 mins away, so I kinda know what to expect with that. I'll be ridin my street bike. Want to see how I do before I buy me a track bike. I am gettin excited and nervous at the same time! :D

Expect a very very good time... Get with your assigned Coach in the Novice Class and ask questions if you have any concerns about your riding, the track or anything in General... CMP is a great overall track for your first TD.. Fast and smooth but then tight and technical.. You should have an outstanding group of coaches and leads so just act like a sponge and soak it all in.. Also bring a camera..and buy track photo's too. Your first TD is one you will NEVER forget... Have fun, Relax and enjoy...

Thanks Marc. I am actually coming with a buddy who has done one track day although he is changing bikes from his first. He liked it so good he bought a track bike! I guess his ZX14 was a little big for the track. We are coming down on Friday and camping, so we are planning for a great time.
I will be riding my CBR1000rr, I just got it back in April and it is my first sport bike. I have been riding for about 13 years and I also have a VTX1300C. I try to swap em out (I ride everyday) on the street. I have learned alot from ridin the sportbike that has helped me with the cruiser. Looking forward to learning alot more!!

Don't be nervous!!! Well, I suppose it's hard not to.... but worry not, our novice program is about as un-intimidating as it gets... it's a lot of fun watching first timers turn into track addicts!!!!

CMP is a really fun track... you're gonna love it.
