Alright, alright ... I'll post some of the shots .. let me get them together .... I was actually thinking of making a "CRASH PAGE" on my site .. but.... it would be all of Lance ... LOL Just kidding Lance ... You're a great guy and I hope you know that I am just messing with ya !!! To be nice and I know that Lance is convalescing I will put the shots up without watermarks so Lance can save them on his computer ... no charge .....
the last two in the series are me trying to pick the bike up from the wrong side and the aftermath of the bike slipping out of my grip and tumbling backwards. I was thinking "god, that's embarassing", and so I played it up, with my legs going akimbo... if they're going to laugh at you anyway, you might as well try to be funny...
The Crash : The "OK" wave Dance : The Pick-Up ? The "HAM-UP" : The Reminder .... Sorry Lance ... I had to do it!!! LOL
oh come on now! I'm not that easy... sort of. it was the bike I was referring to, but I really don't wanna sell it.
No, I think it's a good idea. I was going the wrong way all the time last year - I could have used that! Every time I was at a light I kept asking myself "is it one up or one down, up or down?!?" I've only missed once this season, so far. My mind was somewhere else completely. I didn't even realize I wasn't paying attention.
well, obviously it didn't work for me. to be fair, I was taking in too much Information: not only adjusting to a new bike, but going from a mild-output twin to a breathed on four, different powerband & delivery, slightly different riding position, plus learning GP shift; it was really to much for me all at once. I fiddled with the bike during lunch and was able to switch it to normal shift (it wasn't working very well previously) and being able to concentrate solely on riding the bike made a huge difference. by the end of the day, i had gotten comfortable on the bike, the next day, I was able to identify issues that I wanted to work on. then the next date out, I crash, big time; why I'm not completely sure, because I can't remember anything. I'm looking forward to getting back out, but I've got a huge mountain to climb, first. Getting better physically, sorting out all the fallout of my personal life and getting back to work- it's all going to take time.
Some orgs make you write your shift pattern on your gas tank like that so that the crash truck workers know which way it's set-up. .... That's a bit pesimistic, don't ya think? LOL. I never seemed to have much problem upshifting when I switched to GP. Maybe upshifting is a bit more concious of a decission for me. [shrug] It was downshifting that I'd screw up, but then I'd just end up going into a turn with zero power and a whole lot less engine braking than I was expecting. Fast in and really slow out! LOL.
it was downshifting that caught me out... i went into 4th into a 2nd gear turn, where i really rely on engine braking.
that sucks wade. but i do like the pics of lance. especially the dance!! if either of you guys want a beer or 10, give me a PM and we'll hit the town in AA. 10 beers won't make up for a motorcycle or broken bones, but you'll care less!!
 That works. Once Lance is feeling up to it (and off the meds :?: ) we should get together in AA for a couple drinks.
any time fellas. I'm within walking distance from downtown, so even with the meds... how about next week?
