Summit has lots of electricity. BUT, they 'officially' require you to pay $25 or so for it. I've gotten away with not paying before, not sure about today.

Camping has typically been cool, but I don't know what the specifics are for Sunday night.. One of the most laid back facilities there is. Very nice people run the place. They also have showers in a building, but it's a walk form the pits. Bring sandles!

Just wish they could design tracks as good as their hospitality.

Just shows you how far we've come in the last thirty years. I remember when "what's the deal" with a race meant was the track going to be open, was the promoter going to show, was the prize money going to be there?

Now we're asking about conveniences. :)

Lance, I'm trying to get Rich to go, but I'm not sure he wants to spend any more time with me at the track since I toasted his new 675 at Beaver on Mon  Too bad, I was really digging that bike right up until the point where it sharted out.

Speaking of toasted and shart, thanks for the BBQ on Sat, Lance. Awesome.

What happened to his bike? Please elaborate on "sharted"- you didn't crash it, did you?

No, didn't crash it. It's still pretty, and it runs. It just won't go. Clutch/tranny I guess. I haven't heard if Rich found anything else out since he got back. Stupid Brit bikes.... :?

I think I'm gonna start a fourm called "How to toast a GSXR 750", for I think I'll need some pointers.

Haven't had a chance to look at the clutch yet. Too much work left over from being out for 5 days. Got any Web management positions at your hospital Doug? Gonna be tough working for 'da man', but I could really go for that 8 week vacation package! Maybe when I retire.

In the past at Summit (with WERA weekends and running Reduc {but Reduc would make prior arrangements}) if you arrive before the gate is locked the day before you can camp on the grounds. Give the track a call.

With that in mind, who is planning to camp Sunday night? That is my plan as of now. [edit- was the plan]

What time do the gates usually close?
I was planning on dropping the trailer off rather than leave it in the hotel parking lot. Or I may just camp @ the track. I don't realy know anyone so maybe chillin at the track Sun. night would be cool to make some new friends :D

I just got off the phone with the track and they said, its only a one day event so no camping. I thought STT was to be on Jefferson Sunday. Oh well. Now to look for a local camp ground or 24-hour Walmart.
