I saw a couple of suspension / Superbike Italia threads, but thought this could use its own space.... s

Ran the LED at Tally this weekend. And have a great story about Kenny and Superbike Italia. By way of background, my track bike, an 02 R6, was setup for a 150# rider when I bought it (Penske, Hypercoil, RaceTech, etc...). I rode it for a year w/o any changes. Crashed it T2 at Jennings in October of '05 and decided to have it resprung / revalved for my weight 200#. I was already fixing or replacing almost everything anyway... :)

After the rebuild, I could never get it right. I worked with the bike's former crew chief (the bike used to run WERA and CCS). And, we got it close, but my lap times were still 3-5 seconds off. On top of that I was getting afraid to ride the bike - it was very unpredictable. I was NOT having fun.

So, this weekend some guy I've never heard of is doing suspension at Tally. Ho Hum. I was going to let one of the local guru's take a stab at it, but after talking to several people about Kenny's work, and getting high recommendations, I decided to give him a go. I think my girlfriend's elbow in my ribs was the deciding factor. Boy, was I glad I took her advice! :)

WOW! My first lap of my first session was quicker than my fastest lap in March - same bike, same track. Now, the bike feels very settled and predictable, AND I'm getting great feedback though the seat, pegs, and bars. The bike is clearly BETTER than it was before I crashed it. By the end of the day, the tires were loosing grip, and the track very slippery from the 91 degree heat. I was another 3 seconds quicker and, I'm still getting used to the new feel. Needless to say, I am very, very , happy!

This story is posted on georgiasportbike.com and there are a few more testimonies there too (I think we had about 8-10 ppl there). http://www.georgiasportbike.com/forums/showthread.php?t=30309&page=5

BTW, I'm not affiliated with Kenny or STT, just a satisfied customer.

    Nice work Kenny!

another +1 to Kenny.. I ran the first session before he worked on my bike. I was faster than id ever been(1:06s) ,but felt way outta control and ran off track twice..after he worked on my bike, it felt so much better.. I never got back to my fastest time but I ran within a 1/4 second of it the rest of the day..and for me to run 3 seconds faster clockwise than I did the last time i was there, and do it comfortably.. GETS A BIG THUMBS UP FROM ME!!!!!!

I'll add another +1 to that. He loosened up the rear end on my ZX-10 and it felt way different but better on the track. I know nothing about suspension so I was happy to have someone set it up that knows what he is doing.

+1 for Kenny. I had lost 20+ lbs and wrecked my bike. It was riding like a rock and kept squatting on exit. Kenny got it setup right during lunch (literally had a sub in one hand and a screwdriver in the other). After that the bike settled evenly in the corners and gave awesome feedback. Best 60 bucks I've spent in a long time.
