Had a great time. Thanks to all of the instructors, as always you guys are rock stars! Where can I go to find the photos of the trackday?
http://www.us129photos.com/ Kendrick told me they should be posted by Wednesday the 28th. It was indeed an awesome event!
Kendrick and the crew were very cool..I will definately be looking for the pictures to be posted. Indeed the CR's are rockstars..Thanks to a lot of great advice and a tow on the track from Chris Borden I got my best times EVER at Tally this weekend. Thank you to all of the STT staff, as usual you guys are awesome!
I had a blast hanging out with you this weekend, PJ. You and Rich have made huge improvements since the last time we were at Tally. Once you get a little more comfortable passing, you will shed some more time. Tell Rich I appreciate the offer on the master link. But, mark and kenny bailed me out. see you next time! Nice meeting you Girth, and I appreciate your offer to cheer me up . Next time, I will accept.
What kind of times were people putting down in the Intermediate class? I felt really bad for the family of the kid on the R6, I hated to see that happen
times 1:12 to 1:13 range in the I group for me. Ive got a long way to go. 2 guys in my group were in the 1:06 to 1:08 range all day in the I group. What is a A pace at Tally?
that might have been my buddy and myself, a green ninja and a new gsxr 750? We were in the 1:07 range most of the day, I went down on the last lap second to last session I heard most of the advance guys were running from 1:00-1:06
Photos will be posted later this week. We originally planned for Wednesday evening, but we are taking care of some business with our late Mr. Campbell first. You will be able to find my favorites in the "Photographers Picks" thread hopefully by Friday.
Thanks man. I think I may bump up to advanced on that track next time. Guess I'll need to pick me up some power race's. 08/9 times for me, I kept running into alot of traffic. Got to work on my passing alot though, passed one in the right hander that got a bit close when we came out the other side. Kinda spooked me cause I was right on the outside line. I really should'nt have tried that on a track day, but you learn by doing I guess. Can't wait till next time. I would also like to say godspeed to the fallen rider Jason Cambell. Sad loss for sure.
Did 'A' class pace seem a little slow this weekend to anyone? I'd say average was 1:04-5ish. There were folks doing 8's and slower also though, lots of first timers to tally this weekend I think, the pace picked up more than usual in the afternoon. I had a great weekend, but should have drank more in the morning.
Yea I started the feel bad round the afternoon, i couldn't drink enough. The track got really hot though near the end of the days, my tires started getting slick in some corners
Re: times If you are in the 1:07's and below I would go ahead and go to the A group. That way you are not running up on the back of so many people and you can learn some things by following faster people.
