I just wanna thank all STT staff for making my first trackday experience a fun one :D .

Everything went smoothly from registration (Thanks to Bonnie), leather rental (Thanks to Montie) :D although he didn't allow me to to get the "pink leather"- it was Bonnie's he said, rider's meeting (Thanks to Montie again!), and to the Novice instructors (All of them!) from whom I learned a lot, and to my fellow Novice riders (particularly those that were behind me) for understanding when I mess-up :? ! Thanks to my neighbor and his father- who tightened up my trailer's lugnuts!

It was just an awesome experience for me...I can't wait for next month's Grattan trackday!

A word of advice. you are now hooked like the rest of us, stop renting leathers buy a suit, it's cheeper in the long run.

Hi Simon! I was on the blue SV. No need to apologize...mistakes are inevitable while learning. You did great!
What other dates are you signed up for?
    +1 to buying leathers

BIG thanks to Jig for taking us out for the last two sessions! You were really helpful. :D Will you be coaching at more events???

Hi Helise! Thanks for the compliment and your understanding...Im surprised you remembered my name :D , I guess you would since there were just the two of us left in that group at the end of the day :D ...I really want to be comfortable with the exercises before moving to the next group, Im not worried about lap times at this time (my God its just my first time on the track!)...I have a lot to learn, and I have the whole season to do it. I will be signing up on all Grattan events (two days each, I hope if it doesn't get fully booked right away-like this past weekend). Im travelling alone and Im not familiar with the other tracks nearby, so I'll stay with Grattan...if I can organize my fellow sportbikers in my area maybe we can travel to the other tracks...(its hard to travel alone with my trailer, in case something happens- along the way)...Anybody here from TC area?

And yeah, thanks to Jig for that last two sessions...I learned a lot on cornering and keeping my arms relaxed, to avoid hesitation...

Congrag and welcome to the new addiction. Now u will see yourself starting to do things on the street that u didnt do before even if U R in your car. Like not crossing the blend line when getting on the exspresway or taking the on ramps with more lean then before. Another track not far from u is Autobahn in Joliet IL. Thats if u r already close to Gratton (sorry cant spell). If u need help with directions just let us know. Only advice I will give is when u buy gear and u will be buying it soon. Get good stuff dont go cheap to get by and then buy something that costs more at a later date and now U have to sell the old stuff. Dont ask me how I know this and finally when coming up to a corner as long as u ALLWAYS look through it or were u want to go u will make it. That has saved me more then once when I thought I was going in to hot. Take care.Keith

Thanks Keith! I read the exact same thing from the book Twist of the Wrist...wait a minute, you're not Keith Code are you? :D ...This is something I have to get used to, coz on the street I always have to look on the pavement directly in front of me when cornering to look for gravel, crack on the pavement, or manhole covers (those things are slippery!)- almost lowsided one time in front of a police car! :D

    Thanks again!

Here is the suit you want. You won't find a better deal than $459
The STG flyer in your welcome package does not have this price
The web site has the most up to date prices and deals.

I have this suit and it is everything they say it is.

The Gericke Celtic suit is a great product ! + you can use it trick or treating as a Power Ranger!
I took a 60mph low side & 30 ft slip & slide across the track at Homestead. The suit took no damage and not a bruise/scrap to my newbie butt.Held gloves also worked like a charm.

Low side totally my dumbass mistake

That's funny, my kids told me I looked like the yellow Power Ranger in mine.

Thanks guys! I saw quite a few of them suits last weekend and they fit really well to those who we're wearing them...I've been looking at some kangaroo leathers, they're supposed to be softer, lighter, and more resistant to abrasion...But, the Power Ranger thing during haloween is a great idea! :D

ROFL....ha..thats my dad for ya... he started tightening ours while I was in the trailer and I was like WTF is that noise.. Was nice to meet you and yes it was a great time. Hope to see you out there agian.

and +1 on the Gericke suits..you may look like a power ranger but you can't beat the protection for the price. Kangaroo sounds nice but they are lighter cus they use thinner hide due to the increased abbrasion resistance so the overall protection ends up about the same as cowhide suits just at a premium cost. So basicly you're paying extra for weight reduction and flexibility not better protection.... just some food for thought.

If you ever see me at the track or need help with anything, don't hesitate to ask.
