Toy Hauler... Kind of. Honda Element AWD 2003

    I originally bought this car to haul my bike since I had no room for a trailer living in downtown Milwaukee. Over the past two years I've had lots of people in the pits seem interested in one after seeing how much it can haul so I'm posting it on here in case anyone is interested.

    Only selling because I bought a new car and moved out from the city. Fits a 600 cc wheelbase perfectly just by taking off the windscreen. It has also been my daily driver and I have done a lot of work to it since I bought it to ensure it runs a long time (I know several people with over 300k on their's with no problems other than basic maintenance). Currently has 183,000 miles and runs great.

    All work done since 150,000, most in the past 10k miles:

    -New Headlight Assemblies with HID Headlights
    -Transmission/Rear Differential Fluid Flushed Twice
    -Valve Adjustment
    -Serpentine Belt (I have a new tensioner I haven't installed yet)
    -Front Engine Mount Replaced
    -Spark Plugs
    -Front Control Arms
    -Tie Rods
    -Ball Joints
    -Sway Bar Links
    -Sway Bar Bushings
    -Rear Upper Control Arms
    -Struts, Strut Mounts, and Springs (currently on ST Suspension lowering springs, I have stock springs if desired)
    -Transmission Filter
    -Exhaust Gaskets Replaced
    -Rear Brake Pads and Calipers Replaced
    -New Engine Air Filter
    -New Front Speakers

    A few Extras:
    -Roof Rails (Rack is NOT included)
    -OEM Honda Element All Season Seat Covers
    -Class 3 Curt Trailer Hitch setup

    I might be forgetting a few things, as I said I have all the receipts for the parts. Tires have good tread left. Body is in good shape with a little rust in some areas, I would say a 7/10, interior is an 8/10. Only issues are... hmm... could use a new exhaust, maybe; it creaks and rattles a bit but I can't hear it over the radio. Ride is a little sporty or bumpy with the lowering springs but it greatly reduces the tippy-effect of the box shape and handles surprisingly well now. I'd be nit picking with anything else, feel free to ask any question you have or for more pictures.

    That is awesome that you were able to fit a motorcycle in back i would have never thought it possible wow. GLWS!

    motorcycle in the back!?!? no way! GLWS

    I always thought the ford transit would make a sweet bike hauler as well.

    I used to share that sentiment, but you can really only stuff one bike in there. Worse, it would have to be diagonal or between the seats. I like to be able to get at least two bikes to the track without a trailer, so the Transit was out. The NV200 might fit the bill, though.

    This is all in reference to the Transit Connect. The bigger, commercial grade models they finally started selling stateside would definitely accommodate everything you'd need to get a small fleet of bikes and gear to the track.
