Figured I would spread some word. After my highside figured I would order new fairings during my downstime. Was tight on money and almost spent the 600 plus for hot bodies but got on ebay just for shits and giggles. Found motofairings inc on their and their reveiws were good. I ordered a uper, lower, fender, tail, tank cover and got it all for $260 bucks plus 60 in shipping. Well all I gotta say is it is where I will buy for now on. Got em in two days, very good quality, and fit perfect. everything was predrilled to. pics to come.
i've got two sets and its decent quality, crashes good and is repairable, hard to tell the difference, and rattle can paint looks good on it too.
Were there any after crash reviews for Moto Fairings? Just curious.... I have crashed Hotbodies a few times and will keep buying them.. They are not as durable as Sharkskinz but hold up beter than most others... Also Fitment is great on the new ones...
motofairings emily crashed in T2 at barber going about 70. low side on right. the fairings held up well. lots of scuffing, but only one break: the spar at the windshield. easy fix. I don't have experience with any other brand, but motofairings seem robust and they fit pretty well. again: CALL if you order. I got a great discount and free windshield. super quick shipping.
Optimal Racing Bodywork I bought Optimal Racing Bodywork last year for my D675 for $420 delivered for a superbike tail. Supersport set was under $400. Bodywork arrived in few days and was almost ready for paint but was not pre-drilled, however, the drill marks were extremely accurate. I also had to purchase some Czus fasteners for the lower fairing. I low sided on the grass at T4 at Blackhawk Farms and the bodywork held up very well, no repairs were needed at all. There were scratches on the upper but nothing major. As a reference my Arai helmet got destroyed in that crash. Here are few photos before the crash:
+1 on Falco's 675. He spent some hours in the garage last winter painting it ) :smow: Must be nice to have a heated garage... I'm just sayin :smow:
Thanks, ACE Hardware paint and clear coat at $3 a can, 10 cans total = $30. :thumb: After a year of service the paint is still nice, although there are some scratches from the crash.
