Right across from the track... and very nice. Hampton Inn Leeds. Just an FYI on the STT rate. When I did CSS at Barber and reserved my room they had a blackout on discounts because of the BMW rally that was happening on the same weekend. If there's something else going on at Barber or in the local area don't count on the discount. I was just glad to be able to get a room and would have paid anything they asked. Have to agree though the Hampton is nice and you can't beat the short commute.
Road Atlanta There is always Chateau Elan at I-85 exit 126 Old Winder Hwy, but it is big bucks. Holiday Inn Express is across the street. These are both within 10 minutes of the track. There are a bunch of hotels in Gainesville on down 53. Just called to reserve a room at the Hampton Inn and the "New" STT rate is 89.99 a night. Still a good deal just letting you know its gone up a tad.

Of the options closest to Putnam, I've found the Motel 6 has been the best balance of price and cleanliness. On track weekends, I'm only in the room for like 6 hours anyhow, so I stay as cheap as I can.
Autobahn Stay away from any hotel by Larkin and McDonough. Go to RTE 30/Plainfield rd area. Houbolt and I-80 area is good too
Correct me if I'm wrong...but I think they closed, or got bought out and is down for remodeling?? Autobahn- I stay at the hampton inn and towneplace suites on Houbolt. Pricier, but it's nice not having to keep an eye open at night.
No idea to be honest, haven't been to Putnam for a year. But I thought they built the hotel not too long ago...? Either way...depending on availability I may need to retract my earlier statement then...
