I am an STT member in A group. I have recently bought a ninja 400 as a second track bike to my triumph 675 Daytona that I would like to ride for a session or two while also using my main bike for the majority of the sessions. Do I have to literally peel the sticker off and keep moving it between bikes? And if only one sticker, how do I get two tech inspections with one sticker? I'm trying to do this with transparency and on the up, just not sure what people do that have more than one bike to ride. Does STT have a solution for this?
one sticker take both bikes through tech let the tech person know they will note bike one and two. make a bed of masking tape to put the sticker on both bikes and swap between bikes. since riders arent marked if you had two stickers you could have a buddy ride the other bike so thats a insurance no go
There should be good tires and good brakes on the track more! If necessary, replace the pads. I had to replace the entire brake machine with a Brembo 19x20 as stock brakes (and they are not bad on the R6) did not suit me. But it's everyone's choice. But I think the brakes should be the best! Replacing the stars will give you more power at low speeds and a better output, respectively. If you are lucky and you have found a mod on which there is already a normal exhaust, then the last thing left is just to set it up on the stand so that it works correctly and drives without jerks. And it is also important to track the condition of the tires, which you can replace with the help of special sites.
Related to the Ops post. My first track day, and not really sure which of my bikes I will be most comfortable in riding. Want to do session on both. What is the procedure to bring two bikes through tech.? Bring them during the two different inspection times, or bring one then get in line with the other?, Riding tally Monday, don't wanna be like a lost fool I come down there. Thanks in advance.
If it’s your first track day, there is going to be plenty to learn/get used to without adding in multiple bikes. I’d say pick the one you feel most comfortable on and use that one for the day.
That's what I decided to do. Rode my mt09 all day, had a blast. All the instructors were great very helpful. Figured out as much as anything it was me needing build confidence on it, vs actually being comfortable with it.
