Nice riding! I would suggest dropping a tooth in the rear (maybe 2) especially as your pace increases. I'm guessing if you got a better drive out of 7 you would use 6th gear and thats no good there :thumb:

I just went down one in the front w the 520 conversion and it did make a little difference. I feel that my bike is down on power since most of the time I'm getting passed in the straights of the track. I also have over 14K miles on the bike. That being said, I know I could improve my line out of T7 to get an even better drive. So it's a little of both I suppose. Dropping a tooth or two in the rear would give me more torque? So I use more of my gears but in the end the loss of top end isn't important for BFR. I'm new to this whole tuning the bike deal. I'm more of a do the tires have tread and is there gas in the tank kind of guy, but I need to learn to go faster.

Was good to see you out there Eric. Dropping a tooth in the rear is the wrong way to go. You want to add one or two teeth to the rear to shorten the gearing, giving you less top end but more grunt out of the corner. See you at the next round.

Would you recommend adding one or two teeth in the rear permanently or only for BFR?

steve must not have watched your video because you are almost at redline in 5th gear at the tower (start/finish). with more speed you'll be near redline in 6th and shifting your ass off, even worse if you shorten it up.

edit- i suppose you could be comming out of t7 in 1st gear and only getting into 4th by start finish, in that case steve is correct.
