Wera Summit Point Raceway 4/14-15/2012 This weekend.

Looks like I'm going to head down to this race.

I've got a couple of questions.
    Anybody from here going down?
    Anybody want to pit together?
    Anybody want to ride share?
Leaving from Sarnia Ontario/ Port Huron Mi area. I'm driving a Chevy Van 2500 diesel.

Wish me luck. It's only my third race ever and I've never been to Summit:eek:. Oh ya if someone wants to show me the race line it would be appreciated.

    See ya at the track.
    Steve

What does everybody think is this track?
Fun, technical, hard to learn, easy to learn?

    Wayne,
I may take you up on that offer. Your place looks to be about half way to Summit for me which would be a nice break.
It will really depend on when I get out of here in the morning and what your work hours are.
PM me your cell # so I can text you. My Canadian cell plan does not include data in the USA so I don't/can't check my email etc.

    Later
    Steve

Well I'm back and had a great time. That track is a blast!! Track has lots of hills and lots of character.

Saturday try to learn the track in practice. 1:32 laptimes.
Win the Senior Superbike MW Novice. Doesn't really count because there was only 3 of use.
Got spanked in both the Novice 600cc races.
Sat night drink beer with new friends:cheers:

Sunday felt great so entered an extra race (750cc)
Got spanked in the 750 class.
Lost the Senior Superbike race because I hit a hugh bug and truely couldn't see to the right.
Highlite of the weekend was placing:cheer: 5th in C Superstock Novice (the meat grinder class). Also did a 1:23.013:rawk: in this race. My fastest lap all weekend.

Longer version with lots of numbers etc for those of you who like that kind of thing.
Started out with my first practice Sat morning. Best I could do was a 1:32 while trying to learn the track.
Next practice session was a 1:26.812, much better:)

Well on to the races. Raced three classes on Sat.
-C Superbike Novice Finished 9th out of 17 Fastest lap 1:26.734
-C Superstock Novice Finished 11th out of 15 Fastest lap 1:26.392
-Senior Superbike MW Novice Finished 1 out of 3 Lame but I still won. Fastest lap of the day 1:24.151

Sunday morning felt great so I entered an extra race.
-C Superbike Novice Finished 9th out of 15. Fastest lap 1:25.114
-B Superbike Novice Finished 8th out of 9. Fastest lap 1:24.522
-C Superstock Novice Finished 5th out of 12. Fastest lap 1:23.013:cheer:
-Senior Superbike MW Novice Finished 2nd out 3. Fastest lap 1:25.055

Overall good times and well worth the trip.
