So what's everyone riding? Me: Kona Dawg Deluxe and a Kona Hei-Hei 29er. Bonnie: Kona Lisa Four and a Pivot Mach 5
I have a Gary Fisher Opie. Not many mtns here in Illinois, so a lot of bike baths. Being true to my old bmx days....I can still jump a mean curb!
i ride a giant road bike. but im afraid to ask what a bike bath is (standing in fear here covering my butt hole). it must be an illinois thing lol.....................wayne
I have a Bontrager Privateer that I picked up for $300 from a college kid on eBay after I borrowed a buddy's and liked it. I live about 10 minutes from Alum Creek and ride there mostly for excercise. When it's open. (I see Healea found the COMBO site)
Dirt, Trek 7900. (Rigid) Street, Trek 4300 -Campy chorus.. It used to be a Bianchi, till I destroyed the frame the Trek frame was a cheap replacement. XIII
Cheap ass piece of crap giant yukon. I didn't "get" pedal bike stuff though till X made me buy a Felt road bike. First time out on that thing was a huge "lightbulb" moment. So that's what straight wheels and not clunking components are like. Niiiiiice. (Kind of like my first time out on the 600RR vs. the Hawk.)
Well after taking a 7 year break from MTB'ing, I decided to get back into it last year and wanted to try my hand at building my own bike. Quite a rewarding experience! I have an older rigid Nashbar MTB in parts in my garage as well, but haven't been that motivated to put it back together... Here's a few shots from the assembly process and after my ride last night -- On the stand (game of hangman, anyone?): El Norté - Spanish for....... The Norté : Little dirty: Final shot:
Santa Cruz Blur that is!!! If they ever open Alum Creek in Columbus, I will get to ride it again.......Now just my Trek 5000 road bike.
Re: Santa Cruz Pics on way, I am in Pittsburgh this week. Will try to get them up on Friday. I love the vpp suspension. I was a hard tail hold out for ever, now I will never go back.
