My front rim is clicking like a sonofagun, and I can't figure it out. Calipers are off, everything is greased, and it's still clicking. I fingered the bearings (only 2 right?) to no avail. Thoughts?
what the hell is sonofagun  shake your rotors, they will make rattle sound sometimes, its normal, I think there is a tube inside the wheel between the bearings that can make cling too
clicking My CBR has a tube in the rear that runs between the two sets of bearings. when the wheel is set on the ground or bounced it makes you think something is broken it took me awhile to figure it out but when i put my finger in behind the bearing i could feel the tube and the slack that was causing it. may be similar?
As in you spin it, on the axle on the bike, no calipers etc, and it makes noise as it rotates? It could be the rotors being worn in, but I doubt it. It really does sound like wheel bearings.
I'm thinkin that the "F-stop" from your camera body has fallen off and found it's way into your wheel.........either that or your shutter is stuck in automatic mode!!
give me hell about it, sheesh. Replaced the bearings (which was an adventure in itself), and we're all good.
