I really want to purchase the weekend, but I am not sure how they will be ready in time. Anyone else like to comment on this? Also, what are the track rules for coolant and side stands at AMP? --Whit :?
It would require a miracle to be open and ready to ride in August unfortunately. I'm sure Richard will let us know of an open date as soon as he gets the word from AMP.
doubtful at AMA recently, Richard said probably not. re: the track I feel like it's gonna be a super exclusive club at first, then the high rollers will move on to the next best thing, leaving a kick-ass facility in need of groups like STT for revenue. I hear 2 other tracks are in process in the SE: near NOLA and somewhere in TX (Austin?)
Re: doubtful New Orleans is happening; just got an update today and their kart track is now up and running. Can't wait for this one; should be a nice facility and three hours from is pretty nice. Got word from a TX local that the Austin track is coming along as planned.
Re: doubtful Jeremy, the president of AMP is one of the most down to earth guys I know and a straight shooter. Renting the facility out for revenue is a large part of the AMP business plan.
Re: doubtful F1 is racing there in 2012, and Moto GP is going to be there in 2013. they have some serious expectant revenue motivating them to stay on time. Any delay there would be a HUGE business bumble.
