    I 'll be there

 Hey guys, name is Caleb. I will be there on Sunday. I am riding in the advanced class. Sunday was all I could get. Waited to late I guess!!!!!! I know ya'll have seen the forecast for Sunday. But trust me I called God on his cell phone and he assures me that it will not be doing the "R" word. You know what the "R" word is. Don't say it!!!! We will enjoy a beautiful day of riding. I ride an 03 red mille, come by and say hey. Can't wait, talk to ya'll later. Caleb(frosty115)R.

I'll be there Sunday too on a red 2005 ZX-10 riding A group.

Glad to hear about the phone call. I was getting worried. When do you think he is going to tell the weather men?

Well, Im in the process of packing up right now. Just got some tires mounted up and flushed the radiator. I'll be riding A group as well. I'm rolling down there solo, so I'll try to look for some familiar faces. I have no idea where I'll be pitting. Does barber have power outlets yet? I'll be bringing a generator just incase.

I'll be riding a red and black gixxer 600 with a blue tank. Might bring the gixxer 1000 too. I'm driving a silver Honda suv.

Hopefully the weather won't be too bad!

    John,

I have no idea where we're gonna be pitting. I think Craig will try to pit up on the second level if he can. Look for my truck and blue EZup.

Anyone else that wants to say hello, look for either a black Dodge Ram or a guy gimping around on one crutch with a cast on his foot.

    I am checking

I have been watching the weather channel like a hawk. Yesterday it was not looking so good for Sunday.......But as the the day has progressed, it's looking more and more like partly cloudy. It might be a little cool in the morning sessions so bring your thermals. But no "R" word. God has sent all the weathermen emails. They will get them in the morning. Its my first riding at Barber and riding in the A group. It should be a blast. I will keep ya'll posted on the weather when I hear more info. Peace(frosty115)

Craig (yzl1337) probably will. He's got a blue EZ up that should have a red Aprilia Tuono underneath it. Bike will be carried in a grey'ish Ford Ranger

I probably won't actually make it to the track until Sat morning.

Good meeting you too Jig! I was the guy limping around on the crutches, pitted next to you with Michelle, Dave, and Steve. Glad to hear that Mike is doing alright other than the collar bone. We were touring the museum when he went down. There was a group of non-riders that just happened to catch the crash. All I heard was "Oh my!! He just crashed" and they ran for the windows. I rolled over there in time to see Mike running for the gravel trap.

John it was good to see you as always! That bike looks much better than the last time I saw it :D

I had a great time, even though I was spectating for the second week in a row. Can't wait to get healed up and get back out there.

Sorry to hear he broke his collar bone. I was out there Sunday riding on the red/white Gixxer with Yellow number plates #98 on it in the morning and then later on the Blue SV with the grey primer fairing. I had the green frog Togs on once it started raining real good.

Your buddy was moving pretty well on the rain tires. T10 that he went down in had a lot of standing water and was pretty interesting on Race DOT's to say the least.

Ouch! Glad the injury wasn't too serious.

Overall, a great weekend. Saturday kicked ass. Sunday not so much. DOT's don't feel too good in the rain! I had already gotten my fix, so I packed up and headed home at lunch time.

They called the last session at about 3:30 (thank gawd) so I was home by 7:30pm. I love Barber, but riding in non-stop 40 degree rain with DOT Racetec's is not the proper way to have a good time LOL especially when your students are on full wets!

Ultimately though it was another great weekend on the track & an extremely well ran event. I think what makes STT such a top notch organization (aside from the people) is how flexible they are. I mean the rules are in place & adhered to, but commonsense always prevails whenever any issue outside the norm pops up. Nothing frazzles Mark or Lois they just stay cool & make things happen smoothly. In contrast I have ridden with every TDO in the South & none of them come even close to running their events with the grace that STT does so I am very glad to be a part of this now.

I talked to Scott, but never saw him on the track. I was on the track a couple times with some of the MJ's, but the two guys that were out there were either too worried about crashing a promo bike or just plain slow as they would/could not keep pace.

But what pace do you do there? Are you doing Barber in the 30's?

I run 38's-40's consistently on my 1000RR, but not with students on the track...

I'm actually quicker on a 600 at Barber than I am on a 1000 which just shows how much more I still have to learn about riding & managing a big bike.

i know scott russell was turning around 38's and 39's through traffic when i was following him.

i think the other motojournalists were in the mid to low 40's.

i also know that mark sheldon kicked my ass on his tuono...he musta been running 37's or 36's....i just couldn't get myself to keep up with him being my first time there. much respect for the old fart.

When we were sitting on the grid, I asked Mark what times he was running. He said 35-37's. that is impressive. If I can ever get into the 30's at all I would be fine!
