Don't sell yourself short. Motorcycle racing is different than all other sports, meaning you don't need to have a 40" vertical, run a 4.4sec-40, etc. In other words, you dont have to be young or even that good of an athlete to be good at it.

If you remember Mark, the former Southern Director, he was in his 50's and could turn :34's at Barber on a damn TLR and even faster on his 675.

Tray Batey was running 7th in the AMA SBK race at Road Atlanta when he crashed a few years ago, and he was about to turn 50yrs old.

As long as you are in good physical condition, have good reaction times and have the heart to do it...age is irrelevent. :thumb:

I do not know this to be fact but thought I would share this from a friend of mine here in St. Louis regarding State Farm and track riding.

"I received a letter from State Farm several years ago stating that they would no longer cover any incident on a track, no matter of it's a driving school, lapping day, or any other event taking place on a closed course."

Always wanting our money for nothing in return. Heck I changed insurance just because they would not cover any of my riding gear in event of an off.

It may vary by state, but what I stated previously was verbatim, directly from my Agent and underwriters. They will cover it as long as it is not a timed competition.

But again, it might vary for states or even individuals.
