I am finally doing the tire baker thing, not even going to mess with a 1Kw model. Looking for a used 2000W quiet generator, I know they hold their price well. WiseSales new $995 includes shipping.
From the Wera board $900 http://forums.13x.com/showthread.php?p=4045022#post4045022 Might need to be a wera racer but I'm not sure. Worth a try.
Honda East sells the Yamaha Generators at good prices. Just as good as the Honda's IMO (we've used both).
Yes, in contact with them as well for a quote. Will keep looking at some forums for a while, then probably buy new. Thanks
I am a member there, but never raced, will ask. I mainly lurk wera for the classifieds. Lots of stuff there.
Costco in Commerce Twp, MI between 14 and 15 Mile roads is selling the Smarter Tools AP2000i Sinepower Pro 2000 watt generator for $599. There are about eight remaining as of yesterday. Anyway, it is the exact same engine Yamaha is using in their EF2000is model and it also has a silencing muffler. It is the same weight (44 lbs) and physical shape as the Yamaha but red in color. The only difference, Yamaha controls and outlets are on the front and the Smarter Tool unit is on the side. The nice thing about this unit (like the Yamaha), you can shut off the fuel and run the carb dry. Honda you cannot.
Cool. If you need any assistance talking to someone over there, let me know. I'll likely be heading down there in a few weeks.
Setting up a purchase now. Gonna be about the same price as Honda East and WiseSales. Honda/Yamaha quiet generators are like Sidi boots, they are NEVER on a sale price.
I can tell you from personal experience, Honda East is a great place to buy. I bought a Yamaha EF6300 last year and saved a bunch over the retail cost. I searched the internet sites over and over again, including ebay and NO ONE could beat the price from Honda East......and that was including the shipping cost from Ohio to E. TN. The fellow that I talked to was Scott Johnson.
So Sorry not to include you:sorry: I did the search of past threads and found your post, forgot to mention Scott did send me a quote, still the same price and about the same drive. Holy cra***, Thunder and hevy rain rightt now.
looks like you already found where to get them.. i'm on the hunt for a second to pair to mine for a 4000w to power the trailer & a/c + fans & warmers
