I’m selling a 2005 Yamaha R6 with 17k miles. I bought it 3 years ago and it served me well from novice to advanced. I bought is as a track bike with bill of sale only (no title). I low sided last weekend and I want to see if there is any interest in the bike as is. Most of the parts can be seen on the pictures. It also has a power commander and the rear tire has 6 laps on it (power evo) Suspension was refreshed and set up for 200lb rider by Ken, SB Suspension. The damage: upper fairing are cracked, both rear set plates are bent (just the mounting plate), left peg is grinded, faring stay is broken, tank has a small dent, right clipon is broken. All can be easily fixed. The problem is with the front end. It’s not straight. The forks and the wheel look straight so it might just be the mount, but it needs to be taken apart to say for sure. I’m not a good mechanic and I won’t be able to fix it myself. If it won’t sell, I’ll part it out. Please make a reasonable offer (just the engine and rear shock are worth ~$1500) The bike is located in Mt Prospect, IL if you want to stop by and have a look.
Bump for a good guy. I know the history of this bike. I helped him buy it. It's all legit. I've followed and ridden this bike. The motor was strong. I can potentially help with transport to a southern event if that helps find it a home.
Hmmmmm.. Looking to upgrade from the 03, and I have a ton of spare parts. Yes, the front end/rake angle is different, but much is the same. This project has me interested, working all weekend, so will think about it while working.
