Up for sale is my Yamaha YZF R6 race bike. I am selling it now to pay for some upcoming racing expenses this year. I’d love to keep it as a backup bike, but I just can’t justify keeping two bikes on my budget. It is an awesome and very capable track bike. I have won numerous CCS & WERA expert races on it including a number of championships. I also took it to a best finish of 8th place in AMA Pro Supersport race 1 last year at Mid-Ohio.

Here is a list of everything done to it:
    • MD Racing Supersport built motor. Very fast. Has maps for both MR12 and Sunoco GTX. Roughly 130HP at the rear wheel. only 3-4 partial weekends on motor. Built as a backup motor so it didnt see much action and is still really fresh.
    • YEC Kit ECU
    • YEC Kit Harness
    • Dynojet Power Commander
    • Dynojet quickshifter
    • Leo Vince EVO R6 exhaust with titanium muffler and carbon tip (can is dented, but useable)
    • Spare Leo Vince EVO R6 exhaust can (also dented but useable)
    • Speed Cell lightweight lithium battery
    • Goodridge SS brake lines
    • DP Brake pads
    • Race frame from factory Yamaha AMA team. Covered in black vinyl wrap. (No title, bill of sale only)
    • Hot Bodies bodywork painted Yamaha blue with Pop Shadow decals (been down before but in pretty good shape)
    • Woodcraft black anodized clip ons w/ a few spare bars
    • Woodcraft black brake lever guard (slight rash)
    • Woodcraft black anodized rearsets. (Pegs currently installed are cut short for clearance, but new spare pegs come with the bike)
    • Woodcraft blue anodized swingarm spools
    • Woodcraft black anodized chain guard
    • Woodcraft engine covers (not installed but included. Stock covers currently on motor)
    • Motion Pro quick turn throttle kit (light rash on housing)
    • 520 gold racing chain
    • 520 front/rear Vortex sprockets (15/44)
    • Drilled and safety wired bolts
    • Will come with a set of takeoffs. Choice of Dunlop or Michelin.
    • I also have stands, tire warmers, and additional spares available that I can include cheap if the buyer of the bike would like.
    • Please note that the bike will come with black wheels, not the orange ones pictured. However, if the buyer of the bike really wants the orange wheels we can probably work something out.

I am asking $7500 for the bike and it is located in West Bloomfield, MI but can also be taken to a number of CCS/WERA races. Please let me know if you have any questions or would like more pictures. You may PM me or text me at 248-895-2715. My name is Carl Soltisz. Thank you for taking the time to read this ad!

Sorry forgot to mention that. The bike is kind of a hybrid when it comes to the year, but its essentially a 2013. Most of the components such as the subframe, forks, gas tank, fairing stay, etc… came from a 2013 R6. However the frame that is on there is a Factory Yamaha AMA frame that came from the 2007 team. I used it because I feel it had an advantage over the 2013 frame. Also it is using a 2007 airbox setup. However I can include the 2013 airbox with the bike if the buyer would like.

Carl is a cool dude and the bike is in great shape, I have seen it first hand. It's capable to win an expert race any day IF you are as quick as Carl :rawk: Unfortunately my bank account is telling me to stick with the bike I have, otherwise it would park in my garage already!!

    Good luck Carl. :thumb:

Carl, I had a buddy text me asking about your bike. He was asking why the 07 frame/airbox, when most else on it, was '13 pieces.

The bike has the 2007 frame because I was told it had an advantage over a stock 08+ frame since its from the Factory Yamaha AMA team. I guess there is some gusseting and other stuff done to it. I'm not sure of all the exact technical specs on it. I got it via a connection I have from when I used to work at Yamaha.

The bike has the 07 airbox as well because it has the 06-07 kit ecu which doesnt use the 08+airbox w/ velocity stacks. I wasnt able to get an 08 Kit ECU/harness for it so I just ran the 06-07 Kit ecu with 2007 airbox. That being said, I do still have the 13 stock harness, airbox, ecu, etc... that will be included if someone wants to change it back. If the frame thing is an issue for anyone I could also probably get a 08-14 stock frame for it if the buyer would prefer that.

Let me know if you have any more questions!

06-07 has the brace in front of the airbox..08+ it is "cut"..well, the mold there was plugged.

That's the only difference in the earlier R6v chassis except for the offset clamping on the triple tree, the 06-07 were considered too stiff, so they moved the clamps up on the 08+ and cut that brace near the airbox to give it some movement. Think that's why AMA is cool with guys running 06-07 bikes even tho they're well past the 5 yr deal...they look just like the new ones and really offer no advantage over new..one could make an 08 with a few small cuts :D

    Nice bike, glws man
