You guys think this tire is safe for the track?

    I just bought a CBR929RR for my street bike. It is extremely clean but needs tires.

    The tires that are on the bike are Michelin Pilot Sports (yes, not made anymore) with the manufacture date shown in the pic below. You think they are ok to run? :lol:

    Front tire manufactured in 2001 (back is 2003) - to say that is an old tire is an understatement!!!

    You should be fine if you only ride it on the most edge. LOLOL

    If you have to ask, just replace it. Tires are cheaper than medical bills and fixing a wrecked bike.

    It's a joke. The tire is almost 11 years old.

    Get rid of them!! I bought my 07 XB12r new in 2009, tires where mfg in 2006, 2nd track day front just let loose in turn five at Barber, old tire = bust your ass. A few hundred dollars is a lot cheaper than a busted bike and less painful than broken bones?

    Already have a brand new set of 2ct's. Got the back one mounted today. Mounting the new front tomm.

    And yes Mack, I was kidding about actually running the tire. I have heard bad things about people running 2 and 3 year old tires much less 10! :lol:
