Well I'm in! Novice on Saturday 5/27. I got a new spring for the rear to accomodate my big butt and hopefully the new track plastics will be finished so the 748 will be like a totally new bike. There should be at least 3 of us pitting together. My 748 will be blue and red with yellow number plates, a blue 02' R1 and Suzuki or two. I can't wait. See you there.

This will be my first track day, and needless to say I'm a tad excited (and a little nervous)!

Mary, can't wait to meet you this weekend! :D

Lance, disappointed that you won't be joining us. :(

Weren't you supposed to go and see about surgery? What did they say?

See everyone there! 8) We'll be 3 SV's black, yellow and blue and a red F-150.

I had my orthopedic consult this evening. Looks like surgery is in the works, I'll know when, tomorrow morning. I'll be in good hands, though, at the University of Michigan Sports Medicine Clinic. In the lobby, amidst the various photos of athletes that they'd treated there, were autographed pictures of dirt track legends Jay Springsteen and Scott Parker! talk about the clinic of the godz....

So how did Sunday and Monday go? Hopefully there were fewer crashes than on Saturday.

Wade, given that you folks had a pretty lousy weekend, with two bikes stolen and a cracked frame for Misko, what was your take on the track? did you like? will you return?

Lance, I'm sure you meant to say "Wade and Helise"

For what it's worth, my two cents of inexperience...

    The Bad:

Sorry we didn't get to meet you Mary. We'll catch you next time.

Thoughts and feelings after the first session can pretty much be summed up by Ahhhh! Is it time to go home yet???

Had two sessions that were red flagged after only a few laps, and we didn't get to go back out. I just wanted to ride! :D

Incredibly bummed that I didn't get to ride on Sunday. :(

    The Good:

BeaveRun is a really fun track! I loved it! Second session and beyond on Saturday went from Ahh!! to YAHOO!!!!!! :D :D :D

BIG thanks to Kozy for the awesome instruction - you made my day! :D

Thanks also to Bonnie and Monte; you really do put on great events.

Thanks also to Fred Voit. (I think that's right, please correct me if I'm wrong.)

I had a good group and it was a pleasure to meet Loretta, Ann, and your husbands.

    Looking forward to going back!

Both Helise and I really liked the track. It is a lot more fun than the videos I've seen led me to believe. T1-T7 are a blast, and I loved going through T9 full throttle and then lifting the rear wheel braking into T10. I love, or should I say "loved", the new radial brakes on the Gixxer front end I installed over the winter. Met a lot great people too, as usual. My folks drove over from Philly so they were able to finally see what we've been talking about the past three years. In addition to watching Helise at her first track day, they got to see a couple nice crashes in T1. So, if you take away the two stolen bikes and one cracked frame, it was a great weekend. :? We'll definitely be going back as soon as we replace the bikes. Helise will be getting another SV650; I am going to get a GSXR 750. I am going to miss the SV though. Here's the last pic taken of my bike at BeaveRun:
