well looks like our other thread has disappeared for some reason? too many kudos I guess? anyway we're still here to answer any questions and service your needs. thanks to all for your support! bill and darethea
I wonder if it's in order to promote the new sportbike track leather thing? The old thread was: http://www.sttforum.com/showthread.php?t=11454
missing thread surely someone wouldn't do that. Darethea and I have been servicing STT riders leathers since the inception back in the day and took care of their rental fleet of suits for many years . we'd just fix them and send them back with an invoice in the box. always got paid too. I've even done trackdays but it's been awhile. look how many insturctors wear suits with the BB logo on the shoulder . between darethea and I we have about 75 years of sewing experience and hope to do many more. no I don't think it was that. it was probably just a hiccup in the system . the best to all bill and darethea barnacle bill's 1106 logan road springfield, ky 40069 859 336 7375
absolutely! and like the song says " she wears it well" . we finally got faster internet here thanks in part to paul h. he is trying to drag me into the 21st century. we can even talk on the phone now while on the internet. I don't miss that landline at all. no sirree ! paul's coming by to install our new printer ( the old hp 1110 died this morning on a UPS label @ 12 years of age may it rest in peace . I sort of owe it a Viking funeral ) and I am going to try and talk him into going to choir practice with us tonight. I am wrenching a timing belt and water pump into my pt cruiser convertible ( whew!) and I have half the right front taken apart and had to have help breaking the bolt on the cranshaft pulley . I'll be lucky if I get it back together. she is white with a black top. the holsclaw trailer and my old sr500 clubman bike will make a good combo if I get to go to barber this fall. the leaves are just starting to change up here. if you guys are in the neighborhood drop in. we always try to make everyone feel at home.plenty of dog heads to go around to pat on too! Bill and Darethea
doberman? hey michael is that a dobie? I love those dogs. I have 2 . baby and sheba both about 5 years old.
Bill, The one in my avatar is my late Greyhound I lost last year, but I got suckered into taking another one in back in March of this year. As you can see, he is a bit of a slacker:jester:
he's beautiful ! looks like he's found a good home and is chilled out. my largest female doberman is a rescue ( baby) and sheba was given to us by a young expectant couple but they have come to visit her as they are fairly close by. she was his dog and as his wife already had another small dog and cat, well you know the rest of the story. their loss is my and sheba's gain though . she a good fit here. my big st. bernard bella followed me home from the woods and with the owners permission just stayed. and then there is penny a little yellow corgie mix that followed me and the grandson home from a 4 wheeler ride 9 yrs ago after she was abandoned @ the bridge on the other end of my farm ( that has happened more than once) and she has followed the kid around ever since . I call them all my "girls" and they all do vie to see which gets the most attention but I love them all. I think everyone needs a dog. all the best. bill and darethea
Going to have a suit coming your way in October after my last trip to the track. Needs a cleaning and some repairs. I will give you a call before I send it out.
I plan on sending you (BB) my suit at the end of this season, the suit needs some conditioning, cleaning, and some repairs, maybe a logo or two.
cleaning , logos and such yes we can handle all of that. darethea likes to keep me busy . you know what they say about idle hands? bill and darethea
updates well it's been awhile and where did the fall go? I think we went right into winter here in KY . I did finally get my waterpump and timing belt replaced on my pt cruiser convertible , that's the first time I ever had to pull cam gears off a motor to get to a water pump . Darethea couldn't stay and watch me crank it the first time. I had a sense of accomplishment when it fired right up . It's been fine and a little grease under the fingernails saved me 1200 bucks and my fenders are not all scratched up either . I started cleaning and painting up in the shop in November . I hadn't realized I was such a hoarder and had squirreled away so much junk. well I've almost completed a 360 of the shop , painted the walls and reorganized a lot of the equipment and lighting getting things ready for next season as well as taking care of day to day duties in the shop. work comes in work goes out . we got through the thanksgiving holidays and looking forward to Christmas with the grandson . the new internet and phone system seems to be working fine. the best to all and happy holidays . bill and darethea
Is that a new dog in the picture? All I remember when I got measured was brown dogs (though it was a couple of years ago)
Glad you got the PT Cruiser working Bill! Just wanted to give another thumbs up to Bill, he was nice enough to let me come by since I was in the area and measure me up. Looking forward to seeing how the alterations and repairs turned out on my suit!
Dogs yes all the brown dobies are gone now ( old age) replaced with two black and tan ones and the big st. bernard . she came here about a year ago . one of the black dobies was a rescue and the other we took in when the couple that had her family started growing. they are all working out well . thanks for asking.
