So anyone get a look at the track? I hope its more technical than the typical track. I assume its money problems with the recession and such.
It was a compliance issue. Needed a re-issued permit for the new paddock design. Good part.... this saved $700,000 for use elswhere, Bad part it requires a new permit and a round of re-submission of paperwork to the bank(s). On involved a SBA loan and thats the Fed's which we all know have two speeds.... slow and reverse. This track is 100% full speed ahead now and we will be rocking it in October and we have plans for 2010 that will blow you away. Imaging a track that actually WANTS you to stay inside and camp and fish and cook out and ride you bicycles after hours and bring your pet....and.....well you get my point!
Will we be able to camp in October? Can we arrive on Friday night? If so, how late? Will there be power available? What about showers and/or restroom facilities? I am organizing a group from Triumph675.net and have sent several emails between myself and one other and we can't get an answer. Guys are pretty cynical based on the delays and not being able to get answers or replies to inquiries is not helping at all. Would be nice to get some answers, or at least a reply saying you don't know. Jeff
Hey Jeff, Things of this nature are dynamic. Sometimes we just have to go with the flow because we, STT, don't have control over the project. I assure you nobody is more frustrated than Monte. Please be patient. I know it's difficult. I, like many, scheduled time off of work (primary job) to direct there. Two years from now we won't even remember what caused the delays. October is our goal date and guess what? I'll be there directing it. So let's focus on October and think about how much fun it is going to be!
Jeff, No idea where your emails are going but they are not going to me. Paddock Camping will be available but there will be restrooms and that's going to pretty much be it. Showers will not be complete as far as I know.. so if they are it will be a surprise. I can update later with progress. There are tons of hotels within 35 minutes is Florence KY Gate hours will be determined later but we typically do not allow entrance at facilities after 11PM so use that as your number. Power will not be available, bring a gen-set.

For what it's worth, I have been using the email address in your signature line on this forum and so has my friend Bill, who was originally organizing our group, but had to back out due to a change in work commitments. Additionally, we have both sent multiple emails to the email address listed on the Bluegrass site wth no response either. All we were after was some type of response and what you have provided is perfect. Thank you... Not trying to be a dick, but after having sent several emails with no response, and respecting the fact that we are instructed not to PM you, posting up in the forum was my last resort at getting an answer. I realize that many things can change in the course of two months and that all of this is out of your hands. The lack of communication was all that was annoying, not the situation itself. Don't sweat it.. I will check my SPAM filter. I got on the Nigerian penis enlargement make a fortune in realestate, shamwow, goth singles list....... so we have a pretty agressive filter. Regarding th etrack......What we'll have is an awesome track built to modern FIM safety standards with a state of the art surface., massive paddok, friendly and welcoming management! We wont have electric so bring generators. Lets have fun!!!!!
