I've read a lot,, reading more won't hurt but it's track time and un-learning bad street habits. Getting one issue, then the next set to muscle memory.

IMO, continue with your reading. Figure out your biggest issue then ask a track coach to so you HOW TO do it correctly. Follow him or her and do what they do.
Work on one problem at a time. Get it right and move on.

I figure I've fixed about a dozen and need to work on a couple hundred more.
Enjoy the journey, no matter what level your riding at. It'a a riot.

That's how I felt about Sport Riding techniques, I want to do YCRS really bad now because of Nick.

last one... all of the last one.. every dang time!!!!

everyone hit the nail on the head... very rare to sit centered. it will take time.. and feel unnatural at first but like everything else practice makes better

Even tho this rider is very slow with a green GSXR, you can see from his video he is never in the middle of his bike. Even after getting onto the straight at 2:20 his butt never moves to the center. At the end of the straight, right before he gets onto the brakes, he moves his butt over, waits a second, then brakes, then down shifts, then tips in.

Now I don't have much clout when it come to preaching about body position so I'll just say how I do it.
Coming off the straights my butt will be slightly off center already in anticipation of the upcoming corner. Off excel, downshift and on the brakes all in one motion, at the same time. Depending on the situation I might slide back a little on the seat too. Knees gripping the tank on the hardest part of the braking. As soon as I start to trail the brakes into the corner I start to move off the seat more comparative to the lean angle of the bike. Off the bike the most at the apex and then whilst still in that position, get on the gas and pick the bike up with my arms.

    :wtf:Did that even make sense?

Sorry for off topic, I might be mistaken but that rider is on green CBR not GSXR?
