    Reiterating what others have said.

Arguably the two most important factors for having a fun, safe, relatively effortless day at the track are your suspension and tires. This is why Nelson, myself and anyone else who’s taken the class feel it is the best investment in riding we’ve ever made. Bottom line is that unless you do the class you are just NOT going to go through the drill of testing the affect each adjuster has on your bike. Why? It’s human nature to get out there with the mindset “I'm going to get in as many laps as I can today” instead of, “I’m going to do certain drills as I start the day, listen to my bike, and make adjustments to ensure fun, safe, and effortless riding”.

With all the money you invest on your motorcycle, after market parts and electronics, tires, track days etc, it’s probably a good idea to spend a little on enhancing that thing between your ears.

In fact you will probably save a LOT of money on suspension set ups, tires, crash repairs, even losing money selling a bike that you thought just sucked because you never sorted out the suspension. How many people have shitty track days because they’re fighting their bike the whole time? Exhausting themselves, riding in fear of crashing in every session, or just plain not having fun because they are constantly thinking about their bike and not able to work on developing their riding skills.

    Invest in yourself first.

Changes your focus from “how many laps can I get it” to “how well can I set up my suspension to ensure fun, fast, safe and effortless riding at any given track”.

    DO IT!

Well written. When 2016 season kicks in, trusting that there will be another "Dave Moss Day" at Grattan. For some of us that need a fair amount of time to plan it, please start the process early in the riding season. I have no problem committing to it including the payment. IMHO: Make it a CW day.

Dave Moss: "The main reason I came to Grattan this weekend was BECAUSE it's being run Counter Clockwise. The whole point is to leave your preconceived notions aside and start a new mindset from scratch" - That's exactly what happened.

As Booma said, my entire approach to a track day has been turned upside down and it's awesome. He's not just about adjusting your suspension he's about adjusting your mindset.
