    Hey Dave!!

Any info is GOOD info that people post!

    ICE
Duct Tape on bike or helmet with any info

Go drink some decaf and later I'll give you some assjockey of a ride.

The Duct tape info on bike would be good or on your suit , but the Track should make you sign in a contact person and number when you sign in at Gate! And why not give you a Sticker Tag to put on your bike with a number they can look up?

This is very important. As some of you remember we had a VERY tragic incident happen at Barber in April. It took probably 20 min for us to find out our friend was involved in an accident. And we only found out that soon because we went looking for answers.

I like the idea of putting a tow vehicle, where your pitted on the registration form. And maybe bike number(unique characteristics) of the person you are pitted with.

I also highly suggest NEVER going to the track alone. you never know what might happen. This is after all, a very dangerous hobby.

    +1

IMHO, Even though I have met some truly great folks at Track Days, this is best.

I am sorry for resurrecting an older thread but this is a very important issue.
Of course I always complete all the necessary registration paperwork in a legible manner. However, many times riders are not conscious, or simply cant remember who they are and where they are. For moments like that I made a sticker indicating my name, blood type and allergies and placed it on the front of the helmet, just below the lower vent opening. I hope EMTs never have to use that info but I would rather they know who I am and my blood type and allergies then delay treatment. You can see the little yellow sticker in the photo.

I did the Grattan 7/21 trackday alone and after viewing this thread made the following:
Bike and I.C.E. info taped to back of car window
Letting all those around me know I am alone
Car color/plate#/parking area/ on back of helmet
Phone and keys right there in car, can't miss them

If you're going to do a sticker on the helmet put it in more than one place. A good hit could easily render the sticker illegible.

ICE in the cell phone is a great idea. STT staff WILL end up figuring out where you're pitted. At that point, unless you've thoroughly well hidden and PIN protected your phone, they WILL find and use it. A person would have to be genuinely silly to not do this.
The first line of defense is to have your "Responsible Person" there with you at the track. If not that, next best is to supply STT with accurate Emergency contact info on your signup sheet. An unlocked smart phone back at your trailer with ICE info is a fallback position, in the event that your contact person has somehow gotten away from the phone that you listed for them on the signup sheet. ICE info in your phone should include multiple contacts each for several persons who can legally make decisions for you, such as a spouse, parent or sibling.
Hey, $#!* happens. A corner worker looks left and you sail into the treeline on his right. Now you're missing. If you came alone, who'll even know? Bottom line is that you need to have friends where you pit who'll look for you if you disappear. Only you can arrange this. You can only depend on STT or any other ORG to do so much on your behalf. On many levels, you are and should be responsible for your own well being.

    Emergency contact number

How about writing the emergency contact # on the "N","I","A" sticker at the time of registration??

OK. If you're really worried go get a lanyard like this and wear it inside your leathers. You won't even notice it's there. AHRMA requires it, or used to at least. There's a card w/ all your essential info including vehicle, allergies, contact info, blood type, results of last drug test (i keed), etc.

Personally, until I started coaching I ALWAYS did trackdays and raced on my own. Yet literally from day one I never met a stranger and can tell you many stories of being helped when in need/injured/stranded, etc. And when you are helped you pass it on. So if you're at all concerned at least introduce yourself to one of the coaches. We won't watch your baby or your dog but we got your back. Wait...come to think of it I did a little babysitting once when I guy was transported until his wife was able to sort things out.
