Nice setup. The ease of use, not to mention the peace of mind of never wondering if your tie downs failed or if the bike somehow tipped over in the trailer is worth it alone, IMO. :thumb:
Plus they are easier on the fork seals than strapping down the front end. I guess you can tell how popular they are
Pit bull all the way! You know why it's expensive? Because they are worth every penny! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How much is your bike worth? How much did you spend on an exhaust, or bodywork, bolt ons etc. $300 per bike for a trs is nothing... I've used my trs since 2007 with no issues. Money well spent
Both are great products but the Pitbull has the advantage of riding on your suspension with no straps. I do the love my Baxley though and just picked up a pitbull and am preparing some warranty voiding mods
I have the baxley as well. bought it long before I knew about the pit bull TRS. The cost is actually pretty close, I think Baxley run 235.00 and the pit bull 300.00. my problem is as noted above, for whatever reason I still feel like I need the baxley. I use it all the time. for example I have an enclosed trailer and an open bed trailer. can you buy the plates by themselves? Because I already have two Baxley units, I have not spent the money on the TRS. But I do really like it. as far as suspension, most people way over tighten their tie downs. I have maybe 1" compression. I have ridden over curbs, hit road debris and basically driven my bikes in a baxley with tie downs every where possible. However I have seen pictures of bike in a wrecked upside down trailer with the bike still attached to the TRS. That is what sold me on the TRS. Plus the final point, as noted above, you can easily fit three bikes in the space that two bikes in Baxley can fit. In summary I wish the TRS system had been available many years ago when I bought my baxley, but until I have the money to do TRS, Baxley and tie downs do pretty good.
Oh believe me i understand i was just trying to find a more budget friendly restraint so i do not cut into my budget for trackdays. I'm good at securing my bike with the wheel chock and CD for the handle bars. I was looking to upgrade for ease of use, suspension and peace of mind especially since i will be traveling more this year for track days. Now it’s a decision on what to cut out to get them because i will definitely get the Pit Bull TRS. Once again thanks and the pics are awesome.
I use the pitbulls now because it came with a bike and they are quality. Another option is the STS. Strapless stands. I ran these for years and they were the original before Pitbull modified the design. Also a great strapless option. Palella still prefers it over the Pitbull. Pitbull can be a pain to line up sometimes and is kinda bulky.
i have a strapless motorcycle stand if, anybody is interested, im too sacred to drill into my truck bed to install it. so its just sitting in the garage, i might trade it for a new rear tire or something, for my aprilia
So what about the open trailer crowd? Anyone haul with a pit bull in an open trailer and not use a chock or any additional safety precautions?
