Correct me if I'm wrong as I may have missed a post, but it seems as though you don't need to reserve a number. If two people happen to have the same number, then an "X" will be placed after it....

...so then what happens if more than two have the same number..

    Monte,

You are spot on. One is ownership, on your part for ownership of your club (I'm not saying you aren't doing it, its obvious to me you are doing your best. Congratulations on keeping ToolBox in N, only by enforcing the rules will people begin to respect them for what they are); two, on the ownership of individuals for their actions. People need to be accountable for their decisions, good and bad.

I know people that have a history of poor decision making resulting in their bike being on the ground more times than a nickel whore. The only reason they're still alive could be explained by dumb luck. I have tried speaking with some of these people and they either look at me with the deer in headlights confusion "What are you talking about." Or, (in a highly excited voice) "I know how to ride. I know how to ride. Don't tell me anything. Go away." (Truly sad and one guy actually put his tires off the track and in the grass and when I told him so he didin't believe me.) Some times this was after they had thrown their bike down the road 4 times in a day and a half and they missed at least half the time available because they were making repairs from the previous incident.

Just plain and simple, this type of person doesn't even realize they are a danger to themselves.

    Monte,

If you could add the numbers to your data base that will help you and your registration tremendously. I would think especially when visiting Pocono with the former Reduc group as many or most Reduc people are used to having numbers and many already have aftermarket fiberglass bodies for their track time with numbers affixed. Just a time saver if registration has the number assigned on the paper in front of them.

The Force is strong with this one - he speaks wisdom...

BTW - I claim my old Reduc number as well '112' (may as well get it in now, since I had to use the old 'x' with that now and again - so I know there is another one out there.... neener neener)

I like the # idea :D I have 21 cause it was on the bike when I got it, so I hope I can keep it. I'll bring an x just in case.

By the way, I'm on the faster end of I-group but wasn't totally comfortable with A so I signed up for 8 dates in I. If at some point I get bumped to A will it be only for that day or for future days also?

Sounds like a dumb question, but if I end up changing groups at every track day that seems like a pain also.

FWIW, If you are hesitant about going to A, you can always ride at a more relaxed, comfortable pace in I and gain experience with things like alternate lines, adjustments to your lines, working with the CR's, etc... No one ever forces anyone to ride harder than they really want to...

I guess what I am trying to say is: I would rather someone ride at 75% in the I group and be happy (and safe), than at 110% in the A group, and not have as much enjoyment (and be less safe).

    Does that make sense?

    Makes sense.

I always try to stay within my comfort level and usually ride at maybe 80-90% anyway.

    Monte,

Are you going to begin a formal number request sheet or forum? I'd like to request #750 because its already on both sets of my body work. I can't imagine anyone else wants that #.

    Walter

    10X

A Number request, if no one minds I would like 10X , in Memory of Lance Reich who passed away a while back. I only met Lance a few times @ BR and MO , we got on like a house on fire. A very good man . If someone who knew him better would prefer to remember him this way please feel free

    On the whole level discussion

    1. Leave your ego in your trailer

    2. Connect your brain to your wrist

    3. You dont need the biggest fastest out there to really have fun.

    4. You probably have people at home who love you , so does everyone else sharing the track with you. Think about when you try to impersonate V Rossi

    5. Have Fun
