Not yet,but there were 3 people independantly suggested the Brat Stop??Could it be,or??Open to suggestion's for sure.
It's a little swanky, and I've only ever been there for drinks at the bar, but the HobNob in Kenosha might be a good place. Built in the 50's and it still has that kind of atmosphere. (Think a more brightly lit At Random.) Right on the lake and the bar/dining room has a nice view. Also, they have mussels marinara, though as I said, I've never eaten there so I don't know how good it is. http://www.thehobnob.com/
Hob Nob,??Personally,I don't care, but we may have quite alot of people,do they have a room,or how big is it.Do we wnt to just kinda casual???Let's get some idea's going.
Not to be biased but a central location would work best People from Michigan , Wisconsin , Indy , and Chicago
Well if we do this in Chicago, I have plenty of room for people to crash at my house so they wouldn't have to worry about a hotel (I have a spare bedroom as well as 2 couches and plenty of floor space)
With several of us comming from Indy, Chicago area would be great as well as casual dress and atmosphere works for us "common folk"! Up for anything, even Monte in a grass skirt!
I've got "special" arrangements for you  (i.e. we have a spare extra large dog crate available)
Central Bash In my opinion, either we have 2 get togethers in Michigan and Wisconsin or 1 Mega bash that people will make a weekend event. You may even get some of our Ohio and Southern brothers/ sisters to participate. Joe and John: would it make sense to involve your bike dealership as the venue? They could showcase the new bikes and their incrediable dealership. It would be a charity event for fallen riders and their speedy recovery (Jim...). You could include the the dancers oh let's not forget the dancers from this summer. Stefano could orchestrate the food.. Shadow. Video could showcase 2007 videos.. Hotels are next to the dealership.to help with overnight stays Donations for the event would assist in the expense. This is my 2 cents. Your thoughts? Jb .
My wife is in the Hotel Buisness and she is saying that it will be just about impossible to get a large # of rooms in Chicago during early January so mid Jan is def a good idea. Im not saying just Chicago as it would be this way in any town we went during the Holidays.
It was just a suggestion - since the Brat Stop was being tossed about and it's in that area. I'm not attached to it but it's a funny, kitschy place, not necessarily appropriate. Especially since the target area has been broadened. Definitely go check the place out if you ever find yourself in that neighborhood though. Do please wait for the CCS banquet date to be announced though before you pick a date... (.... aw man. I just went to look to see if they selected a date, found some rule changes instead, and am now very, very unhappy. Looks like I need a new bike... or maybe start racing with WERA...) since this could very well be the only year I ever get a trophy... and I'm looking forward to going up there and being the only one who gets to say "I'd like to thank my husband".
Yeah,we'll wait for the CCS banquet date for sure,I don't want to miss that one,Corse Superbike's invited us to have the party there, which is a beautiful place.
Corse Superbikes would be a great venue for the party. I'm not surprised that they offered. Those are some cool folks. It would be hard on the Michigan and Ohio people though. The most central location is probably Autobahn. Do they have a banquet facility? Could we afford it? A bunch of us Chicago guys have already planned a bash first weekend of January. At Jennings GP. 8)
Party I have discussed this with some of the mich and ohio folks. They said they would come. They said venue sounded great, and they would make it a weekend affair. With Johnnie and Joe in charge you know it will be a classy and fun party. Thanks jb
