Where's the track facts for Road Atlant? I've looked at some of the older ones, but I still have a few questions. Is there a gate fee? I know there was a fee in years past. I know 30 amp power is limited, but what about 15/20 amp power?

    Thanks.

Anyone know if Dave Grey will be there? I'd like to hook up on the Supersport EVO deal.

Is anyone going to go Road Atlanta? I have spoken with most of the Alabama Peeps and I will be the only one making the drive to Road Atlanta... I am guessing this is NOT a sold out event? LOL What is it, the heat? Rain chances? Atlanta Traffic? Etc....

I'm coming, and I know one other person from Birmingham going.
    Heat? Nothing new.
Atlanta traffic? Nothing new, plus, if that stops someone...
    As for the liquid traction...shhh.

I'm riding Saturday. I'm local, but we're staying up there Friday night. I borrowed a generator so I can run some AC during the day, but it's a loud contractor type generator. It's the best I could do last minute.

this weekend I had the unfortunate opportunity to really tell the difference between my generator (northern tool 7K) and a neighbors 6.5K Honda. WOW what a difference. His generator was parked right next to his trailer powering AC, fans, tire warmers, TV etc, and mine was 30 feet from my trailer, powring the same items, with 1" sound limiting enclosure around the gen, and my gen was still three times as loud in my trailer as his was in his trailer. Basically inside his trailer you could not even hear his gen running. I usually am not a "keep up with the jones's type of person" but I think I will be working some extra hours to buy a nice 6.5K generator. Finally having the two side by side in such a direct comparison really made the light bulb go on for me.

Good on you for that.. My last time at Road A, I had the pleasure of having a neighbor that stuck his Chinese knock-off generator (that didn't run in rhythm) stuck way behind his pit behind his truck and trailer.

The generator probably wasn't bothering him at all, except it wound up about 15ft from my pit area to run ALL FREAKING DAY... I thought I was gonna die. If that happens again, I don't think i'll be as nice about just shrugging that off...

I'll do my best. I have about 50' of 3/10 extension cord so I'm going to try to put it away from civilization. How does Road Atlanta have so few plugs? A facility like that should be no problem. For crying out loud Tally has more power options.

Your best bet for that is to park on the back row near the hill with your truck nosed in and trailer out towards the "road" and put the genny at the front of the truck pointing at the hill. That's how I used to handle it before I upgraded my generator and it helps.
