Just wondering if all of this is going to be done before the WOW in May. Looks like that is going to be the first day to turn a wheel on the new track.

Bluegrass' website is saying late spring now. I guess Monte will let us know if the May WOW day will be affected.

  7. On my local forum, Louisvillesportbikes.com, there is a lot of speculation that the May 13th WOW day is going to be cancelled. Any word of this yet?

  8. friend told me the driveway is still unpaved

It's suppose to be warm and dry for the next 4-5 days here so I'm guessing they'll be hard at it to get it ready :D

So I've heard that the top coat needs 14 days to cure and they are still 2 coats of blacktop shy from being ready to lay down the top coat. They're also forecasting isolated T-storms for the next week straight.

I'm thinking May 13th isn't gonna happen unless we run on the base coat that they have down now.

Surely they won't do that. I say take whatever time they need to do it right and safely.

  14. I agree but i think they should cancel events untill they know for sure when it will be done hard to keep getting off work then taking it back ..... its starting to be upseting i think i may just sit this year out for bluegrass maybe ill stop by and see it when its all done

it is a bummer. i have not scheduled any time at bluegrass until i hear a report on the first track day. i am with you. it is too much of a downer when it doesn't happen.
i think that it is going to be a killer track when it is done and it is only an hour and a half from my house.

This track is really close to me, and I hope to do alot of time there, but I've been holding off booking days while waiting for it to actually be done...

Not to sound like a jerk, but we have to give at least 15 days notice if we are going to cancel an event.

I would hope that STT gives the same courtesy back. I would like to know a couple weeks in advance if events I've signed up for will be cancelled.

true. monty did a good job of informing of the cancellation of the april date. i think it was about 2 weeks out. so hopefully the may date on wednesday is still going to be a go. i am going to wait and read the feedback on the track before i book though.

Just an FYI... if they cancel a date make sure you get a refund instead of just rescheduling for another date. When the April date was canceled I simply rescheduled for May 13th and then changed my mind but was unable to get a refund or credit b/c the first reschedule I'd made as a result of STT canceling an event counted as my only allowable reschedule. You can always try to sell your date on the forums but avoid the hassle and just ask for your money back when they cancel.

seems like it should not count towards a reschedule if stt cancels an event. thats a real bummer.
