if you think about it its not our fault the track was not opened in time for neither of the said dates and we have been more than patient with the track and i hope its done well just dont give us these false hopes ..lol and its not stt's fault either but i would imagine that they have been sitting on the money we paid and collecting what i can only think as intrest on it so why not a refund.... i refuse to belive that they paid the track dates prior to it being opened or even did not get there money returned after bluegrass failed to deliver on there part its just bad buisness

AND IF I CAN ADD THAT I HAVE REFUSED TO REQUEST OFF FROM WORK SO IF THE DATE FOR THE WOW IS STILL HELD I WILL BE CALLING OFF SO NOW IM OUT THE MONEY FOR THE TRACK AND OUT TWICE THAT FOR A DAYS WORK!!

if I read that correctly, you aren't going to use that day either way.. If that's so, I'll gladly buy it from you (seriously).

I don't know if they will cancel it or not, but I have faith in Monte and Bonnie - they will make good on their word, and I support them. If it gets canceled, I'd be happy to take it for you... They would make good on it.

I'm confident Monte will do his best to get this worked out. I just hope it's announced soon.
Aside from work, I would like to scedule another TD if this gets cancelled. Most TD's require a 15 day advance sign up, or I get hit with a fee. That will bug me, cuz I'm a cheap A$$..

well apparently i have the only job that once they schedule someone else the labor budget can not supply two people for the same job.... other than work this would not upset me i feel like they gave me sufficient time in april but i still took off work for it...and now here comes the middle of may and im not going to risk that again thats all im saying i would like to imagine that if this event was canceled and you did not wanna reschedule then they would refund your money.... :x

We paid the track (like we do EVERY track) a substaintial deposit for each date which we indeed get back, with no interest if a date is concled by them.

We offered EVERYONE a choice, refund or credit. We even went further and offered an even trade for a future event (basically giving you $20/day). As you know, we had a price increase because certain services are much more $$ than we estimated and because the owner of Bluegrass wants a different Insurance policy with higher limits and deeper coverage and this runs nearly $800 per day more than our first estimates. I think that was very fair.

However, what we could not do is allow folks to keep changing their minds "refnd...no credit...no refund...). This is a paperwork nightmare. It is noteworthy that those wanting a credit immediately for a future date will get first shot. They deserve that for being patient.

FWIW, Have you looked at Money Market interest rates lately.. ya we're making less than 1.5%.. that means we're raking in $12.52 monthly on every $10,000. We pay 3% CC fess when we bill and 3% when we refund for a total of 6%.. do the math.

We will know the status Monday AM on the WOW event. I have no concern about the end of May event but the WOW event is stressing me.

We as well as the owner of Bluegrass want this track finished and finished right just as bad as everyone else does.

Anyone here who knows anythng about multi-million dollar projects will understand that a lein is SOP. The contractor has a period certain to "reserve thier place in line" should something go wrong, and was very prudent to do so.

This isn't really news per se.

Brad asked them to hold off until Monday but the paper refused.

I spoke with Brad this AM. The WOW event is going to be canceled. The enod of May event "is a lock and will go as scheduled."

You have a choice REFUND (that means give you your money back..) or credit towards another date.

brad poppell said "I think us having 80 percent of the track done right now....I'm actually very happy with that."

hmmm seems to me he should of not have scheduled any track dates untill he had a for sure or an even better estimated time of completion if he was expecting an under 80% completion by this date!!!!

and as far as brads word...... well

"I've obviously been watching with a great deal of interest, too, because a whole day of our event would have been spent there," at Bluegrass Motorsports Park, Yates said. "So I was in constant communication with Brad and he swore to me, swore to me that it would be ready..... Cincinnati Region of the Sports Car Club of America event coordinator Brock Yates Jr. said....

lets just wait and see again i suppose while everyones money is in limbo .... because from the article he said two coats of asphault still have to be put down and the parking and safety fencing and the drive way and clean up and prep for grand opening ...well not that tall of an order considering............... Well yeah it is actually....!!!!

I SUPPOSE WE SHOULD NOT BE AS UPSET AND THE COORDINATORS SHOULD BE NESBA, STT, ETC... ITS VERY UPSETTING BUT I WOULD HOPE THAT THE COORDINATORS WOULD FEEL THE SAME WAY AND BE OUR VOICE OF REASON..

Grand opening and first events are totally different. many facilities operate under a "soft" opening for weeks or months prior to a full-fledged Grand Opening. It's not uncommon for a theme park to do this, resturants aas well...shopping malls, hotels, etc... Autobahn's grand opening was seven months after we rode the track teh first time. They STILL are working on buildings as money and time permit.

I really don't want you to stress out about this. It's not worth it for you. shoot me your name and I'll refund your fees and membership and delete your forum access so this won't be so stressful for you. Seriously, I really hate to see someone so spun up so I am going to insist... This is supposed to be a fun hobby and I want to help you keep it that way.

You might want to think twice and post once from now on.. it worked for me when I started doing it. Seriously.. I used to be an idiot on the web.

Look, I have ZERO reason to bullshit anyone. Furthermore we have a lot to lose... $44,750 in gross revenue between STT and Bluegrass so far..... We have no way to recoup that revenue.

This is supposed to be fun and enjoyable. Let ME take the stress I get paid (sometimes) to do it, you do not.

These forums are for the fun, enjoyment, suggestions and communicating with others.. they are not for whining and bitching and moaning. If you are going to complain you should be prepared to offer a solution, actually two solutions was my rule in the "real" world.

I hate to put this in these exact terms but this is MY house and I will ask you to be respectful while in it. That's all, it's really simple.

BTW, we are working on something as a thank you for the folks that were affected by the delay in opening the track. I won't say what yet as we are discussing several options but all of them are pretty cool.

    Thanks for listening.

well sweet and im glad there are people to rip you guys off when you have any service done.... ITS BAD BUISNESS NOT ON STT'S END BUT WHAT MORE CAN I SAY....OTHER THAN THANKS FOR CALLING ME AN IDIOT...THATS AWESOME!!! THATS EVEN BETTER BUISNESS...IM GLAD YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO CALL ME THAT .... THANK BEFORE YOU SPEAK NEXT TIME BECAUSE ITS EASIER TO LEAD THAN TO FOLLOW OBVIOSLY YOUR POSITION HERE IS TO MODERATE RATHER THAN TO GIVE SUGGESTIONS OR TO CONCUR ON WHATS HAPPENING ....SO AT WHICH POINT DID THIS FORUM NOR THIS TOPIC GIVE ANYONE THE RIGHT TO BE SILENCED ON THERE OPIONION ALL I WANTED WAS A PLACE TO VENT AND APPARENTLY I CAN GET ACCOSTED FOR SPEAKING MY MIND... IS THIS WHAT STT REPRESENTS? I DONT THINK SO I BELIVE YOU CAN LOCK THIS TOPIC RATHER THAN CALLING NAMES DONT YOU THINK.... BUT WE WOULD RATHER MAKE THE COMPLAINER BECOME THE WHINER....THATS ALSO GOOD BUISNESS
