Go back..... read what I typed. I called myself an idiot. Just stop already. You're getting a weeks vacation from the forum. Send me an email in 7 days and I'll reactivate your user name of you want me to. FWIW, you have no "rights" here. As I said before, you are a guest in STT's house and the privelidge to come here was just revoked. You ignored my warning and I have grown tired of arguing with you and your all caps typing/yelling was the final straw. Relax, take a breather and we'll see you in a week.
Oh well, guess I'll have to work Wednesday!!! Maybe I'll wear my leathers to work just to make me feel like I'm at the track. Monte, Just to double check, the end of May weekend is still all booked?? Thanks Bill
Bluegrass Motorsports Park Update; The Weekend event May 30 & 31 is still on schedule. We understand that there have been various rumors circulating about Bluegrass and the reason(s) for the delays. These range from “they are broke†to “STT just wants to sit on the money and rake in the interest!†This is an up-to-date status report directly from the Owner. The reason for the delay was that the paddock design was changed mid-project. This in and of itself was a very good thing and we personally encouraged the change. It made the paddock longer, easier to use and also precluded the need for several hundred thousand dollars worth of excavation work allowing those funds to be used elsewhere. The downside is this change in the paddock necessitated a change in the master engineering plan, specifically drainage and wetlands use/mitigation. This meant applying for a updated permit from The Kentucky Corps of Engineers, that took longer that estimated. This delayed the project. It also caused the entity providing funding to delay future construction draws until the project is fully in compliance. This is standard operating procedure for projects of this magnitude where many millions of dollars are at stake and is not an extraordinary action. The good news is that the proper permits are secured and things are moving forward at a pace that Bluegrass management and ownership assures us will allow our May 30 & 31 events to proceed as scheduled. Please keep in mind that like other new venues we have worked with such as GingerMan, BeaveRun, Autobahn and even Barber, Bluegrass is a work in progress and buildings and amenities will be added for months and even years to come. Thank you for your patience and patronage, we at STT and the ownership and management at Bluegrass appreciate all of you.
Does anyone know of a track that was built on time? Well, except for the Lightning track in Jersey, but that was 7+ years of planing before ground was broken. Come on people, it's not like they're throwing up a hot dog stand. How many local or state inspectors in Kentucky have any track development experience? Probably zero. In regards to this forum whiner, did he get his money back? If so, then what's his damn point?
Rich.. please do not come here with Logic and common sense... How ya been? Is that 675 treating you well? New Jersey spent one year planning and six years paying off the right poeple!! LOL!!
Well, looks like it will be raining all day in Sparta anyway. Makes me feel better about working today
shot thursday evening. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WmDOV0gXu28 i suppose the basecoat wont be bad to run on for the may date. will be interesting squeezing everyone on that pad though.
what are they going to do about the drainage onto the track there were four bad spots that i counted wouldnt they have to tear that section up to place pipes underneath? i mean thats not as simple as just hosing that area off right? :roll:
There are already drains installed right next to the track in the low spots, but the drains are sealed to keep from getting silt down into the drains while the grass is getting started. When they uncover the drains there won't be any standing water.
nice you see you dont have to go to track managment to get a good answer! awesome thanks man! :lol: :lol:
I was trying to get folks to stop the rumor spreading and the semi-experts who heard to from someone who heard it from someone who read it on the internet spouting BS. I helped design the track...... I really DO know the answers. :wink:
I'll take next weeks powerball winning numbers. If you could just PM those to me it'd be much appreciated
What would you do it you really won.... Would you tell people or would you just say that you sold a patent or an investment hit it big? I just read a pc on how soooo many folks who win are broke...I mean dead ass broke in 60 months of less.
$ 170 Million $ 88.1 Million Cash Value I wouldn't tell a soul. "Oh, I just won this 1098 in a raffle. Crazy huh?"
